CHAR TABET
for Burbank School Board
2022

I have lived in Burbank for all of my 57 years, attending Burbank Schools from Kinder to 12th grade. I attended Miller, Muir and Burbank High School. Education has always been a priority in my family. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Southern California, which I received after spending the first 2 years at Pasadena City College.

I have 3 children, ages 30, 28 and 26, all of whom also attended Burbank Schools including: Jefferson, Muir and Burbank High. One currently works in the Entertainment industry, one is in Grad School, and another who is a Special Ed teacher and football coach.

I have been involved in several community groups including, National Charity League, Inc., PEO, and PTA. I have also been involved in several sports organizations, including the City of Burbank’s Athletic Federation, which oversaw youth and adult sports and have been serving on the Board of the Burbank Vikings Youth tackle and Cheer organization for the last 20 years.

I have been involved in a number of careers as part of my work history. I spent 15 years working for a CPA, while I ran my Father’s Construction Company. I was a teacher in the Montebello Unified School District and taught Language Arts and Social studies as well as several other subjects including Health, Art, ELD, and was an ASB advisor. In the last 10 years I took over the family business from my parents owning and managing rental properties in Southern California and Arizona.

It has been my privilege to serve as a member of the board of education of Burbank Unified and I ask your vote so I may continue to see through the work I have begun
